The Michigan Physical Therapy Association is a professional organization representing physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and students who have joined together to assure that high ethical professional standards are maintained and that quality health care in the areas of prevention, education and rehabilitation of movement dysfunction and wellness are received for all consumers in the state of Michigan.

What is the MPT-PAC?

The Michigan Physical Therapy-Political Action Committee (MPT-PAC ) is a non-profit whose purpose is to educate legislators and candidates to support the profession of physical therapy by maintaining a financially strong political action committee is the best way to ensure that the physical therapy profession stays healthy and strong.

What are the MPT-PAC objectives?
  • To promote the profession of physical therapy.

  • Support candidates running for the Michigan State House and Senate that are sensitive to the issues that affect the profession of physical therapy.

  • Educate legislators and candidates about physical therapy.

  • Coordinate and facilitate district and statewide PAC fundraising activities that are necessary support these objectives.

  • Distribute expenditures according to the Michigan Physical Therapy Association (MPTA) legislative goals.

  • To increase growth of the MPT-PAC to maintain prestige and recognition among political candidates.

  • To receive between $25-$500 from each MPTA member every calendar year.
