The Michigan Professional Therapy Association (MPTA) is a professional, non-profit organization and serves as a component of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Association membership is comprised of physical therapists, physical therapy assistants and students in the field of physical therapy. The MPTA serves the membership through the activities of its committees and executive office. Membership is just one aspect of the valuable MPTA experience. The MPTA encourages all members to become actively involved in the Association at the state and national level. From attending local district meetings to serving on committees, there are many ways for members to share their expertise while enhancing their profession. We encourage you join our Association because membership in the MPTA pays big benefits - throughout one's lifetime.

To be eligible for membership, you must be accepted to, enrolled in, or a graduate from a PT or PTA program that is accredited or is seeking or has been granted candidacy status by the Commission on Accreditation for Physical Therapy Education (program must be accredited at time of graduation). All membership is coordinatinated by APTA. Please note that simultaneous payment of national and chapter dues is required. You must belong to the chapter of the state in which you live, work or attend school, or of an adjacent state if more active participation is possible.
